Falstaff, Gault Millau, Trophée Gourmet…

Back in the sixties when Guy Ortlieb began serving Alsatian wine soup, snails in garlic butter, truffled goose liver terrine in an aspic jacket, quiche Lorraine and fondue, he was venturing into virgin territory in Arlberg.

The courage and drive injected in culinary innovation of the Montana-Oberlech cuisine has earned our establishment a reputation that goes well beyond the borders. Today, half a century later, our guests, whether hotel guests or à la carte guests dine at toque level (Gault Millau 2/15) and the dialogue between kitchen and cellar is for us a welcome occupation that adds variety to every day.
